Scared of the Potty.

I was going to blog yesterday and have a bunch of photos of our visit up but then it didn’t happen. Now the photos are in 100 Mile and I am NOT!

Silas was a true gentleman the whole way home last night. He was on his best behavior. He was SO happy to see his daddy and ran up to him with his arms up, ready to be picked up. Our trip was squishy but nice. The trip goes by faster and faster all the time, I’m sure I’ve driven it 100 times. My lips are so dry from being out there.
I got Silas a potty because he’s showing so much interest in me using the washroom and he tells me when he pees or poops. He was pooping today so I sat him on it and he cried. I think he’s scared of it. Perhaps we’ll get him to sit on it with his clothes on first. I don’t want to push him at all so we’ll see how it goes.

He’s getting his molars in now. He’s cut 7 teeth since the week before Christmas, I feel so bad for the guy. He’s happy today though so I’m thinking that he’s not in much pain from it. Oddly enough. One tooth gave him SO much trouble and the rest have been pretty easy. I hope these come through easy for him, it looks like a big tooth that is coming through.

I’m stinking tired even though I had plenty of sleep last night. I think I’ll take a nap while Silas is sleeping and then veg out for a while. My house is in need of some attention but I don’t know how much I have to give to it. The third trimester is nasty!

  1. I think sitting Silas on the potty with clothes on – like you suggested – is a good way to start. That he is showing interest is a great sign. Give yourself a break on the house… rest your body and that energy will come back someday…

  2. AHHH. Pottys are scarry. I think so. I sit Emily on the potty while shees poopin, but in her clothes to get used to the idea first. Plus the good thing is then I dont have to clean the potty..
