Today is my first day alone in our home. It’s been lovely. I feel at peace in this place. Isaac is on a nursing strike today. Yesterday went off without a hitch and then today he doesn’t even want to latch. Perhaps he knows I’m taking him in to gett shots today so he’s mad at me. Both the boys are getting done this evening. Poor kids. I wish Ikey would nurse. I’m sad. I also have a cold. Thanks Jules. I wonder if Ikey isn’t feeling very well? His one eye is drippy and I know my nephew Lucas gets drippy eyes when he’s about to get sick. Silas doesn’t but Silas really hasn’t even been sick. Perhaps poor Ikey is stuck with his mommy’s immune system.
Anyway, I thought I’d show you some photos of our house. Enjoy!
The boys laying the laminate. Brent, Jay, and Mark (left to right)
Underlay in the guest room!! I laid it!
Looking into the living room from the dining room. We’re painting all of this soon.
The view from behind the couch. We’re re-doing that kitchen and most likely tearing out the firebox (you can’t use it anyway) and putting wiring and shelving in there for the TV.
The finished laminate in our room and the laundry I did yesterday 🙂
The pretty new laminate in the hall.
Where we ran out of laminate….:(
The back yard that smells like cat pee.
The new carpet. This will go in the other bedroom and on the stairs too.
WOO HOO!
YAY! I’m so happy for you. Its beautiful. So exciting to have your own space. to paint the colours you want and do things your way. So great!!
Looking good! I actually kinda like the sage color on the walls!
I hate it! Well not hate hate but close to it. The green is EVERYWHERE!
Oh my, your green colour is the same as mine which makes me feel Christmasy whenever I sit on my cranberry colored couch! I looooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooove your place; it makes me feel all homey and I want to bake cookies in it and hunker down and drink hot chocolate…organic of course :)…with goats milk and agave nectar, Mmmmmmmm. Your floors are cool, nice color. Put up pictures of your dungeon bathroom already!
Happy home-owning! I hope both Isaac and Silas feels settled soon, so you can have some peace.
