SO Brent’s interview went smashingly. He rocked it just like I knew he would. The guy said he wants to hire him but has to go through the process. The person who told Brent about this job told him last night that when he saw them introducing Brent to the CEO he knew that Brent had the job. So, I hope this is all true and that we can look forward to a cushy ride on the job security train. Wooot. Now that he’s in with the city they’ll pay for his schooling for him to be able to go into any department. Hey have I mentioned pension??? and extended medical?? Have I?? WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT.
Brent said they had this 16 page book FULL of questions and he said he did a good job answering them. He was really honest about the ones he had no idea about. It took them 1.5 hours to get through the interview. Wowsa. My husband always gets jobs handed to him…sheesh. I’m a lucky woman.
A heads up for all that know and love my precious little Ikey…no kiwi…he reacted to it yesterday and the rash wasn’t going away so he gladly downed some benedryl. Poooopy. Lucas was allergic to kiwi too and grew out of it so we’re planning on Ike doing the same thing. Grrrrr.
Last night we were cooling off outside. Isaac had the hose going again. He’s funny with that thing. I decided to take some photos of my garden so you can see it’s progress. My tomatoes and corn are well above the fence now. I think it’s so funny that I’m growing corn ha ha ha. Those stocks are going to take up massive space in my compost bin once I have to chop them down ha ha. Anyway, photos cuz it’s Friday and cuz I love you.
WOW I love those pics! The one of Ikey and the cup is adoreable.
I never thought that your garden got that big so fast. I love the colors of your flowers, can’t wait to see more pics when everything’s ready for harvest.
You’re a lucky woman..and he’s the lucky man to have you on his team, and come to think of it he’s eating well in part because of that gorgeous garden. The dahlia is beautiful…and you say the slugs are all gone? As you would say wooooot.
Gorgeous. Just gorgeous. 🙂 Congrats Brent! Job well done even if you did have the job already. haha
More Ikey pics! Carrots are nice and all – but a naked butter-tub with a hose is cuter!
Corn stalks! No no. You cut them when they dry in the fall and stick them in front of your house with a pumpkin like you really MEANT to have a fall display. 🙂 “Yes…that’s the ticket…I did this on PURPOSE….”
Then you can compost them when they’re all dried…much easier.
